Among our favorite events at River Ranch is the Saturday Night Rodeo, which has a very earnest, competitive, small town flavor. The bull riders are dramatic, the barrel racers are exciting, and the cattle ropers prove that things can be a lot harder to do than they were in those old westerm movies. The crowd favorite is always when the kids go into the ring to try and catch the calves with the three prize ribbons. Of course, when WE are there, the calves are sadly outnumbered. River ranch is also very good for horseback riding, with well kept horses in a well maintained stable. All of the girls (and Alex) had a great time on the trail.
