The HOPI Tribe made an expedition to Shark Valley in Everglades National Park on Saturday, May 12th, 2006. Four dads, five daughters, and one son made the trip, cycling all 15 miles to the tower and back. Conditions were overcast and very dry, with a little smoke on the wind from fires elsewhere in the everglades. We took the straight route out and the zig-zag route back. Some of the girls had a little trouble with the last few miles (into the wind).
